 Time for God's Word - Day 94 - April 4 - 1 Samuel 28-31

Good Morning Team,

In king Saul’s selfishness and self-confidence, he lost his faith in God.

When his spiritual leader Samuel died, he did not embrace another godly advisor.

Saul needed no one else in his life. His mantra, “Do it my way.”

He did not need God, until he ran into a really big problem -

The Philistines had mustered their troops and camped at Shunem.

Saul had assembled all Israel and camped at Gilboa.

But when Saul saw the Philistine troops,

he shook in his boots, scared to death.

Saul prayed to God, but God didn’t answer

—neither by dream nor by sign nor by prophet.

(1 Samuel 28:4-6, MSG)

With no faith, no spiritual advisor -

only fear and turmoil,

was Saul’s prayer too little too late?

That is no way for a leader to live.

How is your prayer life – vs. an occasional prayer?
